It was in 1798 that the Conservatoire des arts et métiers was entrusted by the Directory of Patents for Invention, created by the law of January 7, 1791 on patents for invention, with the conservation of the original files of expired patents.
Subsequently, the Ministry of the Interior entrusted it with the publication of patent filings.

Today, the association is proud to put online exceptional data on musical instruments and instrument making and warmly thanks all those who have made this enterprise a success, and in particular the Cnam and its Museum, the INPI and the Ministry of Culture.

The 2024-2025 programme looks ambitious, bringing together: visits, exhibitions and new videoconferences.

    Contribution scheme. Benefits
    L'association des Amis du musée des Arts et Métiers is a association under the Act of 1901, founded in 1993.

    Membership: Special young person (under 26) and Students
        - Contributions: 15 euros

    Membership: first year
        - Contributions: 15 euros

    Adhésion Membership benefactor.
        - Contributions: 50 euros euros
The contribution is the subject of a tax receipt allowing you to benefit from a tax reduction under the usual conditions. A summons not tax exemptionizable is deducted beforehand.

    Membership of the legal person.
        - Contributions: EUR 500
